Okay -- so I do need a little input on this, but I keep going over it in my mind and it seems like a really logical idea.
While I wait for Cort to finish school at UVU, I have been toying with the idea of going back to school myself. I almost ended up at the U for the rest of my undergrad and loved the atmosphere and the energy the university offers. So I looked to see if they have a program close to what i have been looking for back east. What i found was a Masters of Public Administration. And they have different emphasis (I will choose non-profit administration.) The U's MPA program is ranked 10th for non profit management. And if I can get in, I will have in state tuition. I will save a ton of money and then once we move from utah, I can just start looking for work.
I now have to prepare myself to take the GRE. I sort of just want to take it and see what happens. Maybe brush up on some math equations and vocab, but other than that I just want to take it!
I think this is a really cool chance for me to get the education I need to get the job I want. Right now, all of the perspective jobs that I have wanted to work poo poo me because of my age. It sucks. Age shouldn't matter -- experience should matter. So I think if I had a master's degree to throw in their face, I would be much more respected when I walk into a job interview. My thoughts at least.
So I don't really know, but we will see! At least it's fun to think about.
